FUSION™

Fusion™ is a powerful user experience framework designed to simplify, control and enhance the everyday usability of technologies, present and future.

 

​Overlaid on a product or solution, Fusion™ uses a method called framing (frames) to map out user experience controls. Those frames are then applied in a variety of ways, depending on the software, hardware or solution involved.

The core values however remain throughout, ensuring consistent, exceptional user experience control.

​​There are three areas where frames are defined. Quality, Performance and Control.

Quality

A high level of quality is maintained from the outset and through revisional upgrades. For instance, a new smartphone with a resolution of 2960 x 1440 and no previously maintained frame would have this as its default display resolution frame.

The next revision of that model smartphone would need to equal or greater the resolution or it would fail the frame.

The quality frame controls vision, sound and touch.

​​Performance

This ensures consistent performance of an action or feature.

For instance, opening an application on your smartphone usually take 4 seconds. A recent update by the developer has increased the load time to 5 seconds within the same featureset.

 

The performance frame rolls back the update and emails the developer automatically to advise of an upgrade failure due to the increased load time.

The performance frame controls speed consistency, perception and capacitive thresholds.

Control

 

The Pre-defined Quality and Performance frames can only be equalled or enhanced.

There can be no more than 5 steps to achieve any over-arching process. This is closely linked with repetition removal and AI that learns from usage.

For instance, taking a photo with your smartphone requires turning the screen on, finding the camera application with 2 swipes, launching and taking a photo.

In its basic form, without customisation such as flash on/off, tone or resolution change, this equals 5 steps.

Future iterations of taking a photo in its basic form can equal or reduce the number of steps from the rule of 5. Once the steps are reduced from 5, the lower step count becomes the new default.

Not only does this greatly improve the user experience, it also compels creativity in development for  those designing within the controls set out by Fusion.

​​​Auto Updates (Intelligently Controlled With Triggers)

Fusion Droid uses triggers to understand usage before trying to update an application (mtouch time, sensor/movement, position and time of day). Once multiple triggers have been met, a full backup of the application is taken and the update installed and tested. If all frames are equalled the update is deemed successful, if not, the application is removed, the previous version re-installed and the developer is emailed to advise of the frame failure.
